Securities firms are financial intermediaries regulated by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) and are active in securities trading, asset management and investment banking.

“Their own regulatory status in financial market legislation attests to the significant role of securities firms in the Swiss financial market. The Financial Institutions Act has created additional challenges, including for any new financial service providers covered by the Act, namely fintech firms. The Association of Swiss Securities Firms is the appropriate vessel for them to jointly safeguard their interests and to support them in the implementation of regulation.”
